I’m a lump of molten steel. Glowing hot and malleable.
Jesus is an artful blacksmith creating things of great use and beauty. He heats, pounds, and shapes me—responding to how I respond to the process.
As I cool, a layer of crust forms and easily sheds with each carefully placed blow of the hammer. Then, I’m nestled back into the coals to loosen my core for further shaping.
There is no brutality in this attentive process, the Blacksmith is a conscientious artisan and I will emerge strong, effective, and beautiful.
